1 1/2 stick margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup water
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 cups oatmeal (Quick Quaker oats)
1/2 cups nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix margarine, sugar, water, and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Sift the dry ingredients together and add to creamy mixture. Add the oatmeal and nuts. Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet and press down slightly. Bake at 350 for 10 to 14 minutes.
