2/3 cup margarine
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1/3 cup cherries, candy canes crushed, nuts (whatever you like really)
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together margarine and sugars and then add flour and baking soda. Recipe can be halved and put say candy canes in one half and cherries in the other. Mix in nuts or your favourite. Roll jelly roll fashion and chill overnight, wrapped in wax paper. Slice thin and bake at 350 F for about 10 - 15 minutes

This was my Nana's recipe (Sarah Deuxberry). I remember making these with her and after she was gone thinking of her every time we did make them at Christmas time
