Ingredients:  
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg
1 cup mashed banana
1 1/2 cup flour
1 cup sour milk
1 tsp. soda - add to sour milk
pinch salt
1 cup nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients and put in greased/floured loaf pans. Will make three loaves.

Bake @ 350 for 50 min.

I got this from Grandma Carrie who got it from Margie Klingele. This was always a favorite of mine. One year I went to visit Grandma just so she could teach me how to make this. I have never been able to make mine as good as Grandma - Mary Frieders Hassert
