2 1/2 cup flour
2 cups brown sugar
2/3 cup shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup sour milk
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 eggs - beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, sugar, salt & shortening until crumbly. (keep out 1/2 cup). Add soda, baking powder & spices, mix well. Add milk, eggs & mix again.

Pour into 9x9 buttered pan & top with 1/2 cup flour mixture.

Bake @ 375 for 25 - 30 min.
