Ingredients:  
1 1/2 cups raisin
2 cups water
2 Tbls. shortening - melted
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 cup flour
1 egg
2 tsp. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Combine raisins & water & simmer for 10 min. - let cool.

Mix shortening, egg & sugar, stir in the raisins & water. Add dry ingredients.

Pour into buttered & floured loaf pans & bake @ 325 for 1 hr.

You can also use large fruit cans and bake in them.
