Canola oil for frying
1 c. plus 2 T. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. almond extract
1/8 tsp. salt
1 lg. egg
2 T. confectioners sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Whisk together all ingredients except oil. Heat oil in frying pan until hot. Pour 1/2 c. batter into funnel while holding finger over funnel opening at the bottom. Let batter run out of funnel over hot oil while creating a circular shape that you eventually fill in with remaining batter. Let brown then flip to brown other side. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.
