1 1/2 cup flour
1 cup white sugar
pinch of salt
2 Tbls. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup sour milk (milk can be soured by add 2 Tbls. lemon juice or vinegar)

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Make a hole in the middle of the dry ingredients & drop in the egg, melted butter, sour milk & vanilla.

Beat thoroughly. Pour into a buttered, floured 13x9" pan.

Bake @350 for about 25 in.

We could also expect to have a piece of this cake when we went to visit my Mother-in-law, Anna Frieders. Mary, Paul & Mike always loved it and it was her favorite cake to make
