12 long slim cucumbers
2 cups sugar
2 cups cider vinegar
2 Tbls. mixed pickling spices - tied in cloth

Directions:
Directions:
Pare the cucumbers, cut into 1/2-3/4 in sliced. Salt well (about 1 cup). Cover with water & let stand about 2 hrs. Drain& rinse in cold water.

Make a syrup of the other ingredients and bring to a boil. Add the drained cucumbers, cook slowly about 30 min.

Fill sterilized canning jars with slices & juice. Seal at once.
