1 egg
1/4 cup onion - chopped
1/4 cup celery - chopped
2-1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1-1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 lb. ground beef
1 cup soft bread crumbs
1 Tbls. cornstarch
1 cup beef broth
1 can stewed tomatoes
2 cups zucchini - sliced
1 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. dried basil

In a large bowl, combine egg, Worcestershire sauce, onion, celery 1 1/2 tsp. garlic salt & pepper. Add beef & mix well. Sprinkle with bread crumbs & mix until just combined. Shape into 2" balls. Place on ungreased 15x10 baking pan and bake @ 375 for 20 min.

In a sauce pane combine broth & cornstarch until smooth. Stir in the stewed tomatoes, zucchini, oregano, sugar, basil & remaining garlic salt. Bring to a boil & cook until thickened.

Drain meatballs & top with the tomato mixture.

Cook for 10 min. or until hot. Can be served over rice.

This recipe was given to me by Matt Bieth, a former 4th grade student. It is an easy recipe and can be prepared by a child with some supervision.
