Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2½ cups rolled oats
1 cup all-purpose flour plus more for rolling
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
12 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
A ½ bar of Hershey milk chocolate, coarsely grated or more chips
1½ cups walnuts or pecans ( I usually use dried cherries)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375ºF. Process oats in food processor or blender to a fine powder. Transfer to a large bowl. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda & salt. In a separate bowl, cream the butter & both sugars until fluffy. Beat in eggs & vanilla. Gradually add flour mixture blending well. Add the chips, grated milk chocolate & the nuts or dried cherries. Roll the dough into balls or drop by teaspoonsful onto greased cookie sheets spacing about 2" apart. (If dough is sticky, mix in up to 4 Tbsp. flour & blend well before continuing.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are golden & firm. Transfer to rack & cool. This recipe can be doubled as the cookies freeze well. Makes about 50 cookies.
