1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
6 sweet potatoes or yams, cooked, peeled, and sliced (1/2 in. thick)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix brown sugar, butter, water, and salt in heavy skillet; cook until mixture boils. Add sweet potatoes or yams and cook slowly, turning occasionally, about 20 minutes, or until potatoes are caramel-like.
