½ cup butter
⅓ cup shortening
1 cup sugar (or less)
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2-½ cups All Purpose Flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups Rice Krispies cereal
½ cup coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375º and grease cookie sheets. In large bowl, cream margarine, shortening and sugars all together. Add eggs and beat until fluffy. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup and level off. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and vanilla to creamed mixture and stir until well blended. Stir in crisp rice cereal and coconut. Drop by rounded teaspoonful onto cookie sheet. Bake for 8-12 minutes. Let stand one minute, then transfer to a wire cookie rack to cool.
