1 cup butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1-8 ounce sour cream
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

Frosting:
6 TBSP butter, softened
2 2/3 cup powered sugar
1/3 cup milk
2 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup cocoa

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven at 350º greased cookie sheet

Mix together flour baking powder, baking soda and salt, set aside.
Beat butter, sugar, eggs until light and fluffy, then add sour cream and vanilla, Mix in flour mixture. Refrigerate dough for 1 hour. Scoop large 1 TBSP dough onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake for 12 minutes, let cool on rack before frosting.

Frosting:
Cream butter, blend in powdered sugar, vanilla, and alternate with 1/3 cup milk. Remove half frosting into separate bowl, the remaining frosting will become chocolate frosting. To 1st mixing bowl add 1/3 cup cocoa powder plus 1-2 TBSP additional milk. Beat until smooth.

Frost the bottom of cookie 1st with vanilla frosting other half with chocolate. These remind me of the bakery that used to be in Weymouth Landing, (Whitey's) and Mike's Pastry in North End.
