1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 cup molasses
3 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp salt
¾ cup boiling water
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
3-4 cups flour
Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, sugar, molasses, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt until foamy. Add boiling water and flour to make soft dough. Chill, roll out cut and sprinkle sugar on top before baking at 350º for 10-12 minutes. Makes 4 dozen.
