Ingredients:  
Pour 2 scant cups boiling water over 1/2 cup quick rolled oats. Let stand for 20 minutes.

Cream 1 1/2 sticks butter or margarine.
Add:
1 1/2 C. Brown Sugar
1 1/2 C. Sugar
3 Eggs
1 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. Vanilla

Gradually add oatmeal.
Add:
2 C. Flour
1 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda

Pour into 13 x 9 pan. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes.


Topping:
Cream 4 tbsp. soft Butter
2/3 C. Brown Sugar
4 tbsp. Evaporated Milk
2 Egg Yolks
1 C. Shredded Coconut
1 C. Chopped Pecans or Walnuts

Spread topping on cake while it is still warm. Return to oven for 10-15 minutes or until topping is brown and bubbly.
