Ingredients:

1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
18 large marshmallows
1/2 c. pecan halves

Frosting
2 c. powdered sugar
5 T cocoa
1/8 tsp. salt
3 T soft butter
4-5 T evaporated milk

Directions:

Mix: flour, salt, soda, cocoa and shortening

Mix and add to dry ingredients: egg, sugar, milk and vanilla

Drop by spoonful on greased baking sheet. Bake 8 minutes at 350º. Don't over bake. Remove from oven. Press 1/2 marshmallow with cut side down on
to cookies. Bake 2 minutes.

Mix frosting ingredients together.

Let cookies cool & then top with cocoa frosting and pecan, if desired.
