1 3/4 c quick oats
1 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. butter ( 1 1/2 sticks)
1 c. light brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. mashed bananas (2 or 3)

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375. Sift flour, soda, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon. Set aside. Combine shortening and sugar and beat well. Add bananas, oats and mix thoroughly. Blend in flour mixture. Drop by tsp. onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from pan immediately to prevent sticking.
