1/2 to 1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. self-rising flour
1/2 to 3/4 c. milk
2 1/2 c to 1qt. apples, peaches or cherries.

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter. Pour into 8x11 baking dish. Mix dry ingredients, add milk. Beat well. Pour over melted butter in baking dish. Pour fruit over batter. Bake 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
