1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1 (21oz.) can cherry pie filling
1 box yellow cake mix
2 sticks butter or margarine
1/2 to 1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Dump in pan, no mixing. Spread pineapple and juice in bottom of ungreased 12x15 pan (sheet cake pan.) Spoon pie filling evenly. Spread dry cake mix evenly on pie filling. Add long strips of margarine evenly on top. Bake 350 degrees for approximately 1 hour. Cool. Cut into squares and serve with whipped topping.
