1 cup sugar
1 cup butter/marg- softened
1/2 cup mashed banana
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/3 cups flour
1/2 c chopped salted peanuts - I always omit
granulated sugar

Frosting:
4 cups icing sugar
1/3 cup marg or butter - softened
5 - 6 tbsp milk
3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 deg F.
In large mixing bowl, combine sugar, marg/butter, banana and vanilla.
Beat till light & fluffy. Add flour.
Shape dough in 1 inch balls - 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Flatten balls to 2 inch diameter circles with bottom of drinking glass dipped in sugar to prevent sticking.
Bake for 12 - 15 min or until edges are light golden brown. Cool completely.

For frosting:
In med mixing bowl combine filling ingredients.
Spread about 2 tsp. on bottom of 1/2 the cookies.
Gently press bottoms of remaining cookies against filling to form sandwiches
