1½ cup packed brown sugar
1 cup margarine
1 T. orange peel
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 cup oatmeal
1 tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
1 package (8 ounces) chopped dates
½ cup pecans

Directions:
Directions:
1. Grease cookie sheet, mix sugar, margarine, orange, vanilla and egg.
2. Stir in flour, oats, baking soda and salt.
3. Stir in dates and pecans.
4. Drop on cookie sheet, 2" apart.
5. Bake at 350ºF for 8-10 minutes.

Makes 6 dozen
