2 lbs. round steak
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. marjoram
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 tbsp. shortening
3 c. thinly sliced onion
1 can (6 oz) sliced mushrooms, undrained
1 can (9 3/4 oz) beef bouillon
2 tbsp. chopped parsley

Directions:
Directions:
Coat steak with mixture of flour, salt, marjoram, and pepper. Brown steak well on both sides in hot shortening. Sprinkle any remaining flour mixture over steak. Add 1 cup of onions and remaining ingredients. Cover, cook slowly for 1 1/2 hours. Add remaining onions and continue cooking until meat is fork-tender, about 1 hour more. Makes 6 servings.
