1 lb. bulk pork sausage
1 large onion, chopped
l medium green or red bell pepper, chopped
1 (1 lb 4oz.) can tomatoes or diced tomatoes
1/2 c. water or tomato juice
2 c. uncooked elbow macaroni
1 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. chili powder
2 c. dairy sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
Brown sausage in heavy skillet, breaking meat apart with a fork. Pour off fat as it collects (important). Stir in remaining ingredients, except sour cream. Bring to a boil. Cover pan and simmer, stirring often to prevent sticking. Cook until macaroni is tender, 20-25 minutes. Blend in sour cream. Reheat just to boiling.
