1/2 lbs. oleo Dried figs, ground
1/2 lb Crisco allspice, cinnamon, cloves
3 C sugar
1 C milk
4 eggs
2 T vanilla extract
About 12 C flour
6 tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare the fig filling before making the dough. Season ground
figs with allspice, cinnamon and cloves to taste. Crust:
cream oleo, shortening, and sugar. Add eggs milk and
vanilla. Add flour to baking powder blending well, then add to
sugar mixture. Roll dough into a strip. Put fig filling on
one side of dough and fold the dough over to cover
filling, pinching edges together to seal. Bake 350º for 20 minutes.
