½ cup sugar
1 cup quick oats
½ cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup chopped pecans
½ cup chocolate chips

Directions:

Use 1-quart wide mouth mason jar.

Mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt till well blended. (set aside).

Place in layers in the order given.

Press each layer firmly in place before adding the next ingredients. Cover lid with fabric (6 ¾ diameter). Attach lid and directions for baking.

Preheat oven 350 makes 2 dozen cookies
Empty jar of cookie mix into large mixing bowl.

Add:
1 stick melted margarine or unsalted butter
1 egg slightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla

Mix well with a wooden spoon. Shape into balls about the size of walnuts. Place 2 inches apart on baking sheet. Bake for 11 -13 minutes.
