4 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. cornstarch or 1 3/4 c. clear jel
2 tsp. cinnamon or apple pie spice
1/4 tsp. salt
10 lbs. apples
10 c. water
lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and core and slice enough apples to fill 7 quart jars (about 10 lbs.)

Blend:
4 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. cornstarch or 1 3/4 c. clear jel
2 tsp. cinnamon or apple pie spice and 1/4 tsp. salt

To above add 10 c. water. Cook until thick stirring to prevent sticking. Remove from stove and add 3 Tbs. or less lemon juice.
Pour thickened mix over sliced apples. Pack in jars and process in hot water bath for 25 minutes.
