4 to 4 1/2 lbs. stewing hen (don't know if you can even get these any more)
1 qt. dry bread, salt and pepper
1 onion
bay leaf and sage
or Pepperidge Farm dressing
White sauce:
1 c. flour
5 tsp. oleo
2 qt. broth and milk (equal parts)
6-8 eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Butter 13 x 9 pan
Put in layer of dressing, then cut-up meat. Make thick white sauce of broth, milk and butter (I use leftover gravy)
Add the white sauce to the beaten eggs. Pour over meat and then add layer of dressing on top.
Bake at 350 F for 45 minutes.
Serves 20 ??? I usually freeze these in 9 x 9 pans covered well.
