4 cups vodka 6 oz strega flavoring 4 cups granulated sugar 4 whole star anise pods
Combine ingredients in a 2 quart container. Seal & shake vigorously. Let sit for one hour for liquid to clear, then shake vigorously again for 2 to 3 mins. Let clear again. Repeat this over and over until liquid completely clears. Set up for 7 days, strain out anise pods, and pour in bottles.
