Ingredients:  
1 cup water
2 cups raisins
1 cup margarine or butter - softened
2 cups white sugar
3 eggs - well beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts ( of your choice)
4 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsps salt
1½ tsps cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
¼ tsp allspice

Directions:
Directions:
Combine water and raisins. Boil for 5 minutes and let cool.
Cream together margarine or butter, add well beaten eggs and vanilla.
Add cooled raisins and nuts

Sift together:
flour
baking powder
baking soda
salt cinnamon
nutmeg
allspice

Add to creamed mixture

Drop by teaspoonful on a greased pan or parchment paper lined cookie sheet
Bake at 375º for about 12 minutes ( depends on the size of the cookies)
