6 eggs at room temp.
3 sticks of softened butter at room temp.
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp of vanilla
6 cups flour
1 tsp orange extract
1 small bottle of lemon extract
8 tsp of baking powder

Icing:

1 box powdered sugar
warm water
Food coloring
various extracts

Cookies:

Cream butter, sugar and extracts in a stand mixer. Make a round ring of flour with the center empty. Add all wet ingredients into flour well. Gradually incorporate wet ingredients into dry ingredients until fully mixed. Knead well until thoroughly mixed. Let lay for ½ hour. Roll dough in small batches to prevent drying out. Cut into ropes and make rosettes. Bake at 350ºF for 12 – 18 minutes. Let cool covered with dish towel.

Icing:

Place powdered sugar in a mixer, add warm water until the consistency of cold maple syrup is reached.

Add the extracts to taste. Use food coloring sparingly to achieve the color desired.
