1 cup soft butter or margarine
⅔ cup sugar
3⅔ cup flour (use less to start)
1 egg
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
colored sugar

Directions:

Beat butter and sugar. Beat in egg. Add dry ingredients then vanilla

Roll dough into small balls, put on cookie sheet and press with glass bottom. Put butter on bottom of glass then dip in colored sugar and press cookie.

Bake 350º 8-10 mins

We made these as kids. We had water glasses with a fancy impression on the bottom to press the cookies. Can also use a cookie press.
