1 c butter
1 lb (2 c) brown sugar
1 c light corn syrup
1 15oz can sweetenend condensed milk
1 tsp vanilla
dash salt

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in heavy saucepan (5 qt). Add brown sugar. Stir until well combined. Blend in corn syrup. Gradually add sweetened condensed milk, stirring constantly. Cook and stir over medium heat till candy reaches firm ball stage (235) 16-17 minutes. Remove from heat. Stirll in vanilla and nuts, if desired. Pour into 6x10 or 7x11 baking dish. Cool thoroughly. Cut into small squares (3/4). Wrap each piece in waxed paper. Makes 2 lbs.

Hint: Stir with wooden spoon or spatula. Scape bottom of pan clean.
