1 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter, softened
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
4 c. flour, sifted

Directions:
Directions:
In large mixing bowl, cream sugar and butter together. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Alternately add buttermilk and combined dry ingredients to the above mixture, blending well after each addition. Chill for at least two hours in the refrigerator. Roll out about 1/3 of the dough at a time on a lightly floured surface until about 1/4" thick for puffy cookies. Cut in desired shapes with cookie cutters. Bake on a greased or sprayed or parchment lined baking sheet at 375º for 88-10 minutes or until very LIGHTLY BROWNED. Cool slightly. Remove from pan.
