1 C Butter
1 C Sugar
1 C Brown Sugar
1 C Vegetable Oil
1 Egg
1 t Vanilla
1 T Milk
¼ t Cream of Tartar
3 ¾ C Flour, sifted
24 oz Chocolate Chips
1 C chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, cream butter,sugar, and brown sugar using an electric mixer.
Add oil and egg. Continue beating until mixture is light and fluffy.
Add vanilla,milk, baking soda, salt, cream of tartar, and flour. Blend well.
Blend in chocolate chips and nuts ((if using).

Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 375º for 15 - 17 minutes or until very lightly browned.
Cool on a wire rack.
