Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 Cup butter
1 Cup brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1 Cup flour
1 package chocolate chips (about 2 Cups)
chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

Directions:
Directions:
Whip softened butter.
Add brown sugar and mix.
Add egg yolk and mix.
Add flour and....you guessed it....mix!
Spread thin in a jelly roll pan. Bake for 18-22 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from oven and pour chocolate chips over the top in a single layer. Let them sit for 5 minutes while they soften. Spread chocolate and sprinkle nuts on top.

Baking less yields a chewy cookie. Baking longer gives more of a toffee like crunchy cookie.
