Mexican Steak Recipe

Chicken Breast can be used instead of steak

2 1/2 lbs. round or cube steak or 6 chicken breasts
1 onion chopped
1 hot pepper chopped
1 T.chili powder
2 cans tomatoe sauce
1 can tomatoes chopped
3 garlic buttons chopped
1/2 c. mushrooms optional

Cut steak or chicken into small cubes and brown in oil.
Add onion, pepper, and garlic and cook a few min.
Cover with water and simmer til tender.
Add chili powder or a can of green chilis chopped, salt, pepper to taste.
Add the remaining ingred. and cook 20 min.

Serve with tortillas.
