2 cups sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1/3 cup of shortening
3/4 cup milk

3 tbsp. butter or margarine
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon


Directions:
Directions:
Sift first three ingredients into mixing bowl. Cut in the shortening until mixture is as fine as meal. Add milk, mixing to a soft dough. Knead lightly on floured board 20 sec. Roll dough into rectangle 6" x 18" and about 1/4" thick. Cream 3 tbsp. butter or margarine with 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon and spread on dough. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup chopped nuts and 1/4 cup seeded raisins . Roll like a jelly roll, cut into 1 1/2" pieces and place cut side down in greased 2 1/2" muffin pans or in a round cake pan. Bake in hot oven (425 degree) oven 15-20 minutes.
