"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for Chicken Breasts in Sour Cream, by Kim Strange, is from The Schuldt Family Cookbook,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
6 skinless chicken breasts 1 c. sliced fresh mushrooms 1/2 pt. sour cream 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1/2 c. dry white wine paprika
Salt and pepper chicken breasts. Arrange in a shallow baking dish. Spread mushrooms over chicken. Mix soup, sour cream, and wine. Pour over chicken, sprinkle with paprika, and bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours. We like this served with linguine. The chicken makes a nice sauce for the noodles.
