4 whole boneless chicken breasts, halved
4 Tbsp. oil
4 Tbsp. soy sauce
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. dried thyme or basil leaves
3 whole cloves
dash pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Wash chicken breasts, pat dry. For marinade, blend together oil, soy sauce, lemon juice and brown sugar. Place chicken breasts in a single layer glass dish. Sprinkle with garlic, pepper, thyme or basil and cloves. Pour marinade over chicken. Let stand in refrigerator for at least 4 hours, turning breasts over from time to time. Preheat barbecue grill. Place chicken breasts on grill, a few at a time. Baste with marinade. Grill for about 5 minutes on one side, turn over and grill for another 5 to 9 minutes on other side until chicken is tender and juices run clear when pierced. Chicken should be lightly browned as well. Dont' overcook. Garnish with fresh thyme or basil or parsley. Serves 4.
