Step # 1--
2 lg.cans of sweet potatoes
1/2 cup of white sugar
2 eggs,beaten
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. butter,softened
1/2 cup milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 Tbsp.crushed pineapple

Step # 2

1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup all -purpose flour
3 tbsp. butter,softened
1/2 cup chopped pecans (if you like nuts)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 .Put sweet potatoes in a large bowl mix together the potatoes,sugar,eggs,salt, butter, milk, vanilla and crushed pineapple.Mix until smooth. I used a mixer. Transfer to a large Baking dish or Baking bowl (I used a bowl).

In a medium bowl, mix the brown sugar and flour. Cut in the butter until the mixture is coarse.Stir in nuts. Sprinkle the mixture over the sweet potato mixture.
Bake in oven 30 mins or until the topping is lightly brown.

This taste more like a dessert than a vegetable. This is also a new tradition for our family to make each year. If you mess up AND add step# 1 and #2 together it will be fine, just ask Pam Kenney. It was great! Thanks for your help Pam.
