1 C Sugar
1 C Crisco, melted
½ C Milk
1 tsp Lemon or Anise Extract
2 tbsp Fresh Orange Juice
3 ½ C Flour
1 ½ tbsp Baking Powder
¼ tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt

Directions:
Before mixing cookies, melt the Crisco in heated oven, then cool.
Preheat oven to 350º.
Cream eggs and sugar. Add cooled Crisco, milk, orange juice, and extract.
Sift together dry ingredients. Add dry ingredients into wet ingredients and mix together well.
Shape dough into small balls. Sprinkle flour if needed on your hands so mixture is not too soft. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 10-12 minutes.
Remove from cookie sheet and let cool on cooling rack. Dip in icing.

3 tbsp Milk
½ tsp Vanilla Extract

Stir milk into sugar. Add vanilla.
To make it thicker, add more sugar. To make it thinner, add more milk.
