1 c shortening, creamed
1/2 c hot water
1/2 c cocoa
1 c sour milk
2 tsp soda
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp vanilla
3 1/2 c flour

Cream sugar, egg, salt, & shortening.
Add remaining ingredients.
Drop on buttered tins.
Cook in quick oven.
