1 cup buttermilk
2 cups white corn meal
2 tbsp bacon grease
dash salt
tsp sugar
1 egg well beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Put engredients into a bowl and blend together. Do not over blend. Leave lumpy. Place a black iron skillet into 500 degree oven with the bacon fat in it. Let the skillet get very hot. Take the fat and pour into the meal mix. Stir slightly. Sprinkle the skillet with some corn meal and pour batter into skillet. Cook in oven for approx. 20 minutes.
