1 cup butter
2/3 cup powdered sugar
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup pecans, ground
2 tsp vanilla
extra powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
In a medium bowl, cream butter. Add sugar and blend until light and fluffy. Add flour, salt, pecans, and vanilla. Mix well. Chill dough. Preheat oven to 325. Grease a cookie sheet; set aside. To shape cookies, take a teaspoon of dough and roll into finger shapes. Bake on prepared cookie sheet 15-25 minutes or until light golden around the edges. Remove from oven and, while warm, roll in additional powdered sugar. Roll again when cooled.

Note: To make sliced cookies, wrap dough in wax paper to form a long 2 by 15 roll. Chill two hours or until firm. Slice dough 1/2 inch thick.
