1 package German Chocolate cake mix 1 12-ounce package caramels 1 stick margarine 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans 1/3 cup milk 1 6-ounce package semi-sweet chocolate chips
Mix cake as directed. Pour half of batter into greased 9" x 13" pan. Bake 20 minutes at 350º. Melt caramels and milk. Pour over baked cake. Sprinkle chips and nuts over caramels. Pour remaining cake batter over cake. Bake 20 minutes at 250º, then 10 minutes at 350º. Cool before cutting.
