1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
2/3 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/3 c. Robin Hood flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. (6 oz. package) chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugars, shortening, eggs and vanilla thoroughly. Spoon flour into dry measuring cup. Level off and pour flour onto wax paper. Add soda and salt to flour; stir to blend.
Add blended dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Mix well. Stir in chips and nuts.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes at 350º.

The tip is to use Robin Hood flour. This recipe was finally found after she passed away in a 1971 Robin Hood cook book.
