1-3/4 c flour
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c shortening
1/2 c peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c light brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 pkg Hershey chocolate kisses
Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, soda and salt. Cream shortening and peanut butter, Gradually add sugar and brown sugar, creaming well. Blend in unbeaten egg and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients. Shape by rounded teaspoonsful into balls. Roll in sugar. Place on greased baking sheet. Bake at 375˚F for 10 minutes. Remove from oven. Top each with a candy kiss and return to oven for 4 to 5 minutes longer. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
