2 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking SODA
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

1/4 c. sugar
1 T. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, soda, cream of tartar and salt. Cream shortening and 1 1/2 cups sugar thoroughly. Add eggs and vanilla; beat. Add sifted dry ingredients and blend well. Chill dough until easy to handle (1 hour is long enough). Combine 1/4 cup sugar and the cinnamon. Roll dough into small balls and dip into sugar-cinnamon mixture. Place on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake in 350 degree oven for 10-12 minutes.
