1 pkg. yellow or white cake mix
1 cup (6 oz. pkg.) semi sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup oil
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped nuts [optional]
2 eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. In large bowl, mix all ingredients together until well mixed. Drop from teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes until cookies just begin to brown around edges. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet and move to rack to finish cooling.

[Note: She may have meant "Drop from Tablespoon" instead of "Drop from teaspoon"]

Aunt Saundra made these cookies while Steve and the kids stayed with her and Uncle Autry for a week one summer, and the kids liked this slightly different version of the chocolate chip cookie and they asked for the recipe. We have made them many times since then.
