1 box Duncan Hines German Chocolate Cake mix
1 package caramels, found in candy section of grocery store
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 stick butter
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Oven to 350
Prepare cake as directed. Spread half the batter into greased and floured 9X13 inch pan. Bake 15 minutes.
While cake is baking, unwrap caramels and add to saucepan with milk and butter. Cook on medium low heat, stirring constantly, until caramels are melted.
Remove cake from oven. Pour hot caramel mixture over top. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and 1/2 cup pecans. Spread remaining batter over top. Sprinkle with remaining pecans. Bake 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
